Friday's tight encounter between the Dallas Mavericks and the Milwaukee Bucks ended with a bit of controversy. With his team down, head coach Rick Carlisle decided not to call a time out after his Mavs secured an offensive rebound in the dying moments of the game.

Luka Doncic was clearly upset with his coach's decision during the moment, but after the game, the All-Star guard seemed to have cooled down a bit:

“I don’t know. It’s coach’s decision,” the Mavs star said, via Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News. “If we would have made the shot, everything would be good. If we can make the shot, everything would be different. But I don’t know. It’s coach’s decision to call a timeout or not, so I think it’s good.”

Here's a look at the play in question:

There's no denying that Doncic was upset with Rick Carlisle's decision, and his reaction towards the Mavs bench after the Bucks got possession says it all. The experts seem to agree:

As Luka Doncic stated above, however, it was always going to be Carlisle's decision. The veteran coach put his trust in his Mavs players, which, unfortunately, did not pan out too well for them in that particular play.

Doncic put up an excellent performance for the Mavs again in the game, finishing with 28 points on 12-of-24 shooting, to go along with nine rebounds and 13 assists. It was in a losing effort, though, with Dallas having no answer for reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo who exploded for 31 points.
