Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has forgiven Marcus Morris and moved on from their controversial exchange in last year's playoffs in the Orlando bubble.

After the Mavs officially claimed the fifth seed in the West to set up a rematch with the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the postseason, Doncic was asked about Morris and the incident they were involved in. According to Luka, the veteran forward has already apologized. He also acknowledged that trash-talking is part of the game and he embraces it.

“It's going to be OK. He's a hell of a player, hell of a defender. Trash talk is always there. If it's not, you're not really competing,” said Doncic as fans and experts alike expect Morris to guard the Mavs  star in the series once again, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

To recall, in Game 5 of the Mavs-Clippers showdown last season, Marcus Morris stepped on Luka Doncic's injured ankle–which he sustained in Game 3 of the series. The incident was so controversial since it appears the LA vet purposely did it.

Doncic was obviously disappointed with the act, noting after the contest that he hopes it wasn't intentional. The Mavs star then added he doesn't want to talk to Morris and just move on.

Of course, Morris has since denied that the attack was intentional, noting it was only a mistake and he didn't target Doncic. However, all eyes will be on him when he guards Doncic when the playoffs start next week.

Sure enough, everyone is hoping that the same incident won't happen again. After all, the Mavs need the Slovenian youngster to be healthy throughout to have any chance of making a deep run in the postseason.
