The Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns are battling in Game 2 of their western conference semifinal series. Phoenix dominated in Game 1, despite the final score only being 121-114. In the loss, Mavs superstar Luka Doncic played out of his mind, dropping 45 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. However, it obviously was not close to enough

In Game 2 Wednesday night, Doncic brought his A game again. He had 24 points at halftime, on an efficient 9-for-13 from the floor. But in the third quarter, he began to cool off a bit. Late in the quarter as Doncic was headed to the locker room, he was seen having words with a Suns fan.

Doncic had to be restrained by Mavs officials. It's not often you see that kind of reaction or emotion from the Mavs star forward. Following the explosive first half, Doncic had more turnovers (3) than points (2) in the third quarter. That certainly appeared as his frustration began to boil over as the Mavs desperately need to win this game.

Things calmed down shortly thereafter and Doncic re-focused himself. He came out firing once again in the fourth quarter and has 33 points as of this writing.

However, Chris Paul, “The Point God” is back at it again. He is 11-for-15 from the field in Game 2 and has taken the game over in the fourth quarter, with 14 points in the frame. He has 28 points, eight assists and five rebounds thus far, helping the Suns build a 108-93 lead.

If the Mavs cannot erase a suddenly huge deficit, they will need to beat the Phoenix Suns four out of their next five games.
