Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has just revealed the truth about his friendship with Mavs teammate Boban Marjanovic. As it turns out, their perceived friendship is actually all fake, and that they aren't really buddies outside the basketball court.

According to Doncic, his friendship with Boban is all a show for the media (h/t Bally Sports Southwest on Twitter):

Doncic had a big smile on his face when he denied the friendship narrative so clearly, he was just messing around. We all know how these two Mavs teammates have become real-life BFFs, and as Luka described in his interview above, their chemistry has translated well on the basketball court.

Doncic just revealed his two-man game with Marjanovic to the entire world. He made it sound so easy, too. Then again, opposing teams already know how these two operate on the floor, but evidently, it's extremely difficult to stop them even if you know what's coming. This was certainly the case for the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

Boban got the spot start for the Mavs with Maxi Kleber and Kristaps Porzingis both sidelined due to injury. Willie Cauley-Stein was also unavailable, which left Marjanovic with a clear path to minutes against the Wizards. The 7-foot-4 big man responded well, finishing with a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double in just 24 minutes of action. It was clear that he had his two-man game with Luka going on against Washington.

For his part, Doncic was his usual dominant self against a Bradley Beal-less Wizards. The Mavs superstar finished with 26 points, eight boards, and six assists, as he led his team to their fourth consecutive win.
