Seeing Luka Doncic success on the global stage isn't surprising to anyone who's watched a Dallas Mavericks game before. The Slovenian wunderkind has put up some legendary performances in just three seasons with the Mavs. But the magnitude of the moment still wasn't lost on Doncic.

The Mavs franchise player was vocal on Twitter in celebration of Slovenia's entry into the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics.

“Top 4 in the world, a country of 2M people! What a feeling! #mislovenci“

The world knows exactly what Doncic is capable of. Putting it in the context of how relatively small their country is compared to other tournament rivals in France and the United States, forming a formidable squad to compete seems like a much more difficult task. The Mavs star is the primary reason why.

Doncic didn't even have to carry the load for Slovenia in the quarterfinals against Germany. The Mavs star was only their second leading scorer with a modest 20 points, behind Zoran Dragic's 27 total. Their squad decimated the Germens en route to a 94-70 victory to punch their ticket for a semi-finals date with powerhouse France.

It remains to be seen if Slovenia will have enough to get past France and potentially challenge the US in the Finals. But given that they have Luka Doncic, anything is possible.
