After breaking Michael Jordan's record for most consecutive games with 20-5-5 stat line earlier this month, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has once again one-upped the legendary Hall of Famer. The 20-year-old Mavs point-forward became the youngest player to notch multiple 30-point, 15-assist games in a season — a record once held by His Airness back in the 1984-85 season.

Luka Doncic achieved the feat when he scattered yet another impressive triple-double of 31 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds in the Mavs' 141-121 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. It was terrific bounce back game for Luka, who struggled from the field in his return game against the San Antonio Spurs after missing four games due to an ankle injury.

Doncic is expected to be an All Star game starter come February, with averages of 29.1 points, 9.7 rebounds 9.1 assists and 1.2 steals in just his second NBA season. He is also shooting the ball at a high clip, knocking down 47.7 percent of his attempts from the field and 33.2 percent from downtown.

Moreover, Doncic has also received praise from legends like Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan himself. MJ recently called Doncic a “phenomenal player at a young age” and lauded him for possessing skills that takes years to develop. Doncic's relationship with the GOAT will certainly blossom in the coming years, as the Mavs rising star recently signed with the Jordan Brand.

With plenty of games to be played this season, Doncic will likely break more records on his way to leading the Mavs back to playoff contention. Entering Sunday's showdown with the Lakers, Dallas has moved to fourth place in the Western Conference — leapfrogging the Los Angeles Clippers with a 21-10 slate.
