Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic suffered an ankle injury in the Mavs' Game 3 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, but that's not going to stop him from suiting up for a crucial Game 4. Doncic is officially available for Sunday's tilt, according to the team.

Doncic suffered the injury in the third quarter of Friday's game. The Mavs star limped off the court but tried returning, only to leave the game for good in the fourth quarter. Without him, the Mavs went down 2-1 in the series with a 130-122 loss. The Slovenian sensation posted a triple-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, but he shot just 4-of-14 from the field.

While the injury looked bad, luckily an MRI revealed “nothing alarming.” Doncic warmed up before Sunday's game, and it was then determined that he would be able to play.

While the Mavs have done pretty well with Luka Doncic on the bench in this series, they'll need him to perform at a high level if this series is going to go long. After a sluggish start to Game 1, he found his groove and poured in an NBA record 42 points in his playoff debut, albeit in a 118-110 loss. The 21-year-old then tallied 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in an impressive 127-114 Game 2 victory.

The seventh-seeded Mavs have boasted a historically great offense all season, with Doncic leading the way thanks to his prolific scoring and playmaking. We'll see how he guts through this ankle injury in Game 4.
