Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic may have dominated the opposition in only his second season in the league but that didn't stop social media from gasping when Doncic's trainer Jure Draskalar was quoted saying that his client “is not in the best shape. Which is normal.”

Obviously, there hasn't been NBA basketball since early-March so you couldn't really blame the Slovenian star if he packed on a few pounds during the quarantine. However, with the NBA now set to return at the end of July, Doncic has taken to social media to disprove those earlier reports.

Several photos of Luka Doncic working out and looking in great shape were posted to the Mavericks' Twitter account and while the photos don't necessarily disprove that Doncic may have gained a few pounds in the last few months, the 21-year-old looks more than fine.

As far as his play on the court, Doncic had built off his incredible rookie season and has quickly become one of the NBA's brightest stars regardless of age. Before the season was postponed, Doncic was putting up an incredible 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep.

Doncic's superb play has vaulted the Mavericks to a 40-27 record going into the play-in games in Orlando. Currently, Dallas sits at seventh place in the Western Conference and seemingly have a good chance to make their first playoff appearance since the 2015-16 season.

Teams will begin traveling to Orlando on July 7 and the official playoff start date has been set for August 17.
