Mavs owner Mark Cuban says he'll keep an open mind, but he doubts he'll actually run for president.

Cuban thinks it's doable since the coronavirus pandemic has reset everything.

However, the popular Mavs owner doesn't think he'll pursue the opportunity:

“If this would've been a month ago, I would have said absolutely not,” Mark Cuban said, via The Dallas Morning News. “But obviously things are crazy, things are changing.

“So I'll keep an open mind, but I seriously doubt it.”

So far, Joe Biden is expected to challenge Donald Trump in the next presidential election, which will be in November.

Cuban and the Mavs are hopeful the 2019-20 NBA season resumes in the summer. The NBA was forced to suspend play after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended, the Mavs were in seventh place in the rugged Western Conference standings. Led by All-Stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavs had a record of 40-27.

Porzingis was averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in his first season with the Mavs, while Luka was putting up 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists. Doncic was in the MVP conversation.

The Mavs are pretty fortunate they have two All-Stars leading the future in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era. Not a lot of teams can replace a Hall of Famer with two talented youngsters.
