Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took to Twitter on Friday to discuss issues of race and, in particular, white privilege.

Cuban tweeted out a list of questions for “my friends with young sons who think that White Privilege doesn't exist?”

The following questions illustrated situations that numerous Black Americans deal with on a daily basis with respect to their relationship with the police and White communities.

Cuban has been active in participating in discussions on racial injustice and inequality over the course of the last week-plus.

The mercurial Mavs owner also joined his players in a protest in Dallas last Sunday (via Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News):

“This is our community; our country,” Cuban told The News. “Both are hurting. I wanted to be here to listen. To understand better the pain the African-American community is going through. And to show that the Mavs organization will be here to help.”

Players like Dwight Powell and Jalen Brunson lauded Cuban for his leadership as an owner, saying he allows players to be “vocal and present.”

Cuban also tweeted out a message from the President of Emerson College, adding “Dear White People: We are the ones that need to change.”

Protests against racial injustice continue around the country.

There has been tangible outrage since the death of George Floyd last Monday in Minneapolis, and plenty of athletes–including NBA players–have spoken out against racial issues in America.

Cuban realizes the onus is on him–as a White man–to address the systems in place and modify certain behaviors. He is also imploring others to recognize their White Privilege.
