Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says Mavs budding star Luka Doncic wants to improve his left hand  dribbling and be more explosive on his drives to the basket:

Having a strong off-hand is important in the NBA, especially when you have the ball as much as Doncic does for the Mavs. If Luka is able to drive both left and right, it will make it that much harder for defenses to game plan for him.

Luka Doncic put on a show during his rookie season in 2018-19. The 20-year-old averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 71.3 percent from the free-throw line. The floor general recorded 24 double-doubles, eight triple-doubles and won the 2019 Rookie of the Year award.

Doncic doesn't have explosive speed like Russell Westbrook or De'Aaron Fox. However, Luka is 6-foot-7, so he can use his large frame to get to the basket against smaller guards by simply backing them down. It would be good, though, for the Mavs' new franchise player to become more agile moving forward.

Dallas will get to see Kristaps Porzingis for the first time in a Mavs uniform next season. Fans can't wait to see how lethal Doncic and Porzingis are going to be in pick-and-roll/pop situations.
