This upcoming offseason, there will be several prominent players available on the free agent market that could be highly sought out around the league. One of the teams that will have plenty of salary cap space over summer will be the Dallas Mavericks with a projected nearly $30 million in financial flexibility.

With that in mind, team owner Mark Cuban has made it clear that he doesn't see any reason for the Mavericks to save their cap space for anything else, according to SportsDay.

“We have the cap room,” Cuban said. “That's why we have it — to use it. There's no reason to save it.

“We would even use it before the draft. If we got a great player before the draft and we still have cap room now, going into the draft there might be something that we like. If somebody wants to get off money or somebody cuts somebody and we like him, we could sign them now.”

There are several potential free agents that possess either a player or team options that will need to be addressed this summer with the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, Paul George, and LaMarcus Aldridge. Anyone of these players could step into being a high-impact player in Dallas as the team is in need to add more star power to the mix.

One of the players that the franchise has been prominently linked to is Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle, who is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason for the first time in his career. The opportunity to play in his hometown could be quite appealing to Randle, but the only potential hurdle is that the Lakers have the option to match any offer sheet presented to him.

Nonetheless, it certainly sounds like the Mavericks are going to be aggressive in trying to add proven talent to the mix via free agency over this upcoming offseason.
