For Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, fans — especially those who live in one household — do not need to sit apart from one another once the NBA allows audiences to watch in arenas.

Speaking with Sean Hannity of FOX News, the Mavs boss shared his social distancing-friendly idea.

“We don't even have to do every other seat. When we get to where we are able to have fans we can quarantine group people together,” Mark Cuban said, as transcribed by James Leggate of FOX Business.

Cuban also shared his opinion on other sports leagues and tournaments such as NASCAR that have resumed their respective seasons. Practicing precaution, leagues have not allowed fans in the arena. The Mavs owner believes that the NBA is getting to that stage.

“We’re getting to that point, Sean, where we’re going to be able to do some testing and hopefully be able to play games,” the Shark Tank star told Hannity. “I don’t think we are ready for fans yet but let us take that first step.”

The NBA has allowed teams to open their practice facilities only if their respective cities have eased social-distancing rules. In these facilities, strict protocols have to be followed. Trainers, for example, can only work with four players at a time. Head and assistant coaches cannot participate.

For what it's worth, the NBA has been scouting bubble locations to play closed-door games and house the families of players at the same time. Although nothing has been confirmed, it has been reported recently that the Disney World in Orlando is the favorite location to resume the 2019-20 season.
