If Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki has interest in becoming a minority owner with the Mavs once he retires, owner Mark Cuban would be willing to discuss that with Dirk.

Nowitzki hasn't announced if this season is going to be his last year in the NBA. The future Hall of Famer says he's focused on playing basketball right now and will think about his post-playing career plans down the line.

“It is an honor that he [Cuban] said that,” Nowitzki told Landon Buford of Fanatic View. “I want to focus on me still playing, and whatever I decide to do after my career, we will cross that bridge when we get there.”

Dirk Nowitzki has spent his entire NBA career with the Mavs. The 14-time All-Star has said in the past he is going to spend time with his family first when he retires, but will then venture back in the basketball world in some aspect.

In 30 games this season for Dallas, Dirk is averaging 5.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest. He's shooting 35.2 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line. Basketball fans are hoping Nowitzki will play at least one more season, but if he doesn't, the former MVP will surely be associated with the Mavs organization.
