Earlier this week, Mark Cuban spoke out about the situation surrounding veteran quarterback Colin Kaepernick essentially stating that there is no barometer for NBA players to adhere to regarding political issues.

In light of that, a few current NBA players have come out in support of Cuban's remarks concerning Kaepernick.

Since Kaepernick made the decision to opt out of his deal with the San Francisco 49ers, he has gone unsigned in NFL free agency due. Much of this has stemmed from his choice to kneel during the National Anthem that garnered much attention well beyond the world of sports.

It was done to bring more attention to the criminal justice system that had recently seen viral videos of African American men being mistreated by law enforcement. Kaepernick's decision to bring attention to that has been supported by many within the NFL and also the NBA with many players electing to lock arms in unity prior to tip-off last season.

This is something that the NBA has allowed its players to voice their opinions and feelings on the matter without any true repercussion. Although there would be fines levied against players that decide to kneel, they are still allowed to wear shirts in pregame warmups supporting their cause.

There are likely more players in the NBA that share this view, which only further demonstrates that this is something that NFL should consider adjusting their policy on the matter.
