Things got ugly in the final moments of Tuesday's Game 5 matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks. The Suns ended up blowing out the Mavs in this one, 110-80, but the lopsided game did not end without incident.

Suns big man Bismack Biyombo went for a dunk with just seconds remaining in the game and Mavs center Marquese Chriss did not appreciate it. The pair ended up having a heated discussion on the floor which resulted in both players getting ejected.

The scene escalated when Chriss appeared to have chased Biyombo down the tunnel as both men exited the paying court. Security personnel had to intervene and things could have gotten ugly if the Mavs big man was able to confront Biyombo at the back (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

You have to commend the security team here for their quick reaction to what could have been a violent incident. Chriss and Biyombdo aren't exactly the most peace-loving players out there so let's just say that a confrontation in the tunnel would not have been very friendly. It remains to be seen if these players will receive further sanctions from the league.
