The Dallas Mavericks have gotten some huge news as they have found out that Luka Doncic will make his return after missing 10 games due to being in the league's health and safety protocol. He was also recovering from a left ankle injury. He plans on meeting the Mavs in Oklahoma City for a possible Sunday return to action.

This is huge news for the Mavs because they haven't necessarily been playing great basketball. Most of that reason is because of all the players that they have been missing. Getting arguably a top-five player in all of basketball back for them will certainly be important and will help them improve their 17-18 record. Luckily for the Mavs, they were able to still stay in the playoffs without Luka be being there.

He's having an impressive season once again as he's averaging 25.6 points per game, eight rebounds, 8.5 assists, and has a 22.10 player efficiency rating.

If the Mavs want to have any success this season, they are going to need Luka Doncic to continue playing at the level that he is capable of playing. They're also going to have to go out and make some moves during the NBA trade deadline because they are clearly not a team that is ready to compete for a title with the pieces that they have. This is big news for the Mavs, and it will be interesting to see how much better they play with Luka back on their side.
