A difficult season for the Dallas Mavericks just got a lot tougher. The Mavericks are now embroiled in a huge mess regarding some disturbing sexual assault allegations that involved high-level executives in the organization. In a report by Sports Illustrated, several former women employees addressed the crooked misogynist behavior that occurred in the Mavericks workplace.

While sources referred to the Mavericks office as a “locker room culture,” the team’s actuallocker room was a refuge. Says one female former senior staffer: “I dealt with players all the time. I had hundreds of interactions with players and never once had an issue…they always knew how to treat people. Then I'd go to the office and it was this zoo, this complete shitshow. My anxiety would go down dealing with players; it would go up when I got to my desk.”

These reports have been nothing short of embarrassing for the entire Mavericks organization, which is now put under the microscope of the NBA. Mark Cuban has even come out to address the incidents, and he has promised that the Mavericks will perform a complete and thorough overhaul in terms of women sensitivity training and regulations.

The Mavericks are just a body within its parent organization, the NBA, therefore, the league must receive word on incidents such as these.

On Tuesday, the NBA released a statement regarding the allegations and are offering their full support in the Mavericks' investigation.

This investigation should reveal the specific details about the sexual assault allegations Sports Illustrated uncovered and will single out those who knew and were responsible for these unfortunate events. Obviously, there is still some work to do in this probe, but the NBA has offered their cooperation to ensure that the proper procedures will take place.
