Nerlens Noel, who was once a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, took a jab at his former team over the recent burner account controversy. Noel took to Instagram to take a little jab at his former team.

Noel was drafted sixth overall back in 2013 by the New Orleans Pelicans. On the same night, he was sent to the 76ers in exchange for guard Jrue Holiday and the draft rights to Pierre Jackson.

The 6'11 forward-center spent three seasons with the Sixers. He also suited up for the team's G League counterpart, the Delaware 87ers. In 2017, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks  Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and a 2017 protected first-round pick.

The Sixers are currently in hot water due to the alleged burner accounts connected to Bryan Colangelo, president of basketball operations. The case is under investigation as of the moment. And according to Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN:

The probe hasn't been completed, and a final decision has yet to be rendered, but the fallout from a report by The Ringer that connected Twitter accounts unleashing privileged information and provocative attacks surrounding the Sixers has left ownership flushed with embarrassment and anger — and Colangelo fighting for his professional life, league sources said.

Rising star Joel Embiid, who also joked about the burner accounts, was sought for comment regarding the case. He admitted that Colangelo called him to deny the story:

“I talked to him, and he said that he didn't say that,” Embiid told ESPN on Tuesday night about Colangelo. “He called me just to deny the story. Gotta believe him until proven otherwise. If true though, that would be really bad.”
