The Dallas Mavericks are entering the 2018-19 season filled with optimism. Among the reasons for the excitement surrounding Rick Carlisle's Mavs squad is rookie guard Luka Doncic.

The Mavs connived with the Atlanta Hawks on draft night to secure the services of Doncic, executing a trade package centered on 2018's third overall pick and Dallas' fifth pick in Trae Young.

Doncic's stock was boosted by his ultra-impressive overseas resume after he lifted European powerhouse Real Madrid to the Euroleague title and winning MVP honors in the process. This and his polished game are seen by Carlisle as reasons why Mavs season tickets are worth fans' money.

“Off of what I've seen over the last two days,” Carlisle told Eddie Sefko of Dallas Morning News, “anybody who doesn't jump on season tickets now is going to sorely regret it later, that's all I'll say.”

While Doncic is a natural wonder on his own, there are three more reasons why fans should not pass on the chance of getting those 82-game plans — Dirk Nowitzki, Dennis Smith Jr., and DeAndre Jordan.

Nowitzki will be playing in what could be his final season in the NBA. He hasn't announced anything yet, but chances are high that we are seeing the last of the legendary German in a Mavs uniform. On the other hand, Smith will look to capitalize on the momentum from his rookie season where he emerged as one of the most exciting young guards in the league. Meanwhile, Jordan will finally get to play for his home state after spurning the Mavs a few years ago in free agency.

Indeed, the buzz in Dallas is as legit as they come.
