This whole situation for the Dallas Mavericks organization regarding these allegedly rampant sexual misconduct for years in the workplace is becoming more of a mess by the minute after Sports Illustrated dropped a huge in-depth editorial exposing them last night.

However, one of Mavs owner Mark Cuban's “Shark Tank” business partners, Raven Thomas, came to his defense during an interview with TMZ on Wednesday afternoon.

Thomas, a 2012 contestant of the show and the current CEO of The Painted Pretzel, said the billionaire investor always acted like very professional with her and that she'd be shocked if Cuban knew about the horrid culture that went on within the Mavs' organization.

“I've never had anything like that. I'm kind of surprised to hear that. Just my interactions with him, just knowing what I know about him, he always takes ownership of the companies he's involved with. If he knew, I would be completely shocked,” Thomas said. “I can just see him, you know, being shocked at this and then that's why he just fired everybody. From what I can tell, he treats everyone the same. So I would be really surprised, shocked if he had any knowledge of this and didn't do anything about it.”

Last night, the NBA issued a statement on the workplace misconduct allegations within the Mavs organization.

“The Dallas Mavericks have informed us of the allegations involving former team president Terdema Ussery and Mavs.com writer Earl Sneed. This alleged conduct runs counter to the steadfast commitment of the NBA and its teams to foster safe, respectful and welcoming workplaces for all employees. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and we will closely monitor the independent investigation into this matter,” the statement said.

This entire situation was not handled properly and these people need to face further consequences for their actions. Hopefully, this will also encourage more people who have suffered from misconduct in the workplace to come forward instead of staying silent.
