Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic has been turning heads all season. Although he entered the league as a teenager, he's been playing like a veteran and has undoubtedly became the leader of the Mavs.

Doncic solidified his case for the Rookie of the Year honor when he led Dallas to a 126-91 blowout win over the Golden State Warriors. Luka finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in yet another sensational performance.

Dubs special consultant and former Maverick Steve Nash had high praises for the 20 year-old Slovenian guard. In his interview with Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News, he said Doncic is a special type of player.

“Shew. He's phenomenal. Just an incredible basketball player. Skill. Ability. Size. Feel. He can do so many things on the basketball court and has such a skill-set that's so great and versatile.”

“He's an incredibly unique player, historically, already, at a young age,” he said. “As far as his uniqueness and accuracy and ability to make plays off the dribble with his size? We just don't see that. Especially at his age.”

It is no secret that the Mavs have struck gold when they decided to trade Trae Young to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Luka Doncic.

Although Young turned out to be another amazing rookie, Luka has been the more consistent player among the two this season. In fact, he's already expected to carry the Dallas franchise in his shoulders for a long time.
