Luka Doncic has taken the league by storm since coming to the NBA from overseas. The Dallas Mavericks guard has stolen the show many times throughout his young career and Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash shared his thoughts on Doncic.

Doncic received MVP consideration dating back from last year and would be further in the conversation if it wasn't for his team's disappointment so far this year. Luka is averaging 28.5 points with 8.4 rebounds and nine assists and was recently named a starter for the Western Conference All-Star teams.

Nash's comments, as funny as they came out, aren't too far off. When he says he sees some of himself in Luka's game, it makes a lot of sense. Nash was one of the best point guards in the NBA and continuously wowed people with his exceptional passing and ability to score the ball at will. He could shoot at a high clip and had no problem taking the ball to the hoop.

For Luka, it's the same and will only get better as the Mavs guard continues to improve. He's bigger and stronger than Nash, however, he can still shoot at a high-clip and can pass the ball really well.

His shooting percentage has dipped a bit this year but has picked up as of late and all of a sudden he has a career-high 35.3 percent clip from beyond the arc. He's not even 22 years old and will definitely benefit from some additional help on the Mavs team whenever Mark Cuban decides to shell out some money.

The comparisons between the two aren't that far off, and receiving high praise from Nash must mean the world to Luka as he continues to improve on his game and become a future MVP in the NBA. The sky is really the limit for Luka.
