The Dallas Mavericks, who picked up their 20th victory of the season on Tuesday night with a 118-107 win over the Denver Nuggets, should get back veteran small forward Wesley Matthews in time for Saturday night's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Via a tweet on Thursday afternoon from Mavs beat reporter Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News:

“Expect Wesley Matthews to return from hip problem on Saturday against Memphis. He went through practice on Thursday,” Sefko said.

Matthews has been sidelined each of the Mavs' last two contests because of a sore left hip, but since he was a full participant in today's practice, he should be good to go for Saturday's home game against Memphis.

In Dallas' victory over the Nuggets at American Airlines Center on Tuesday, the Mavs were very hot shooting the ball from behind the arc and went 15-of-27 from that range as a team. Point guard Yogi Ferrell, who finished with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting, was a nearly-perfect 6-of-7 from three-point range on the night.

“This is a great win for us, especially with a team that is trying to get in the playoffs. We probably busted them a little bit up,” Ferrell said after the game in an interview with Fox Sports Southwest. “We lived in the paint, we played together and that's the biggest thing for us.”

The Mavs have not won back-to-back games since the beginning of January, so Saturday's contest against the visiting Grizzlies gives Dallas a very good chance to accomplish that feat for the first time in nearly two months.
