Dallas Mavericks prized rookie Luka Doncic just added another reason for Mavs fans to get excited to finally watch him play. Doncic posted a photo of himself working out with none other than the Los Angeles Lakers legend himself, Kobe Bryant.

The 19-year-old playmaker proudly shared this photo on his Twitter account:

The Mavs traded up to get Doncic with the No. 3 pick in this year's draft. With theirĀ long-tenured star, Dirk Nowitzki, playing what could be his final season this year, the team has turned its sights on the future. Doncic is a major part of that future.

A brilliant scorer himself, it can be assumed Kobe may have taught Doncic a thing or two about creating his own shots. But the rookie's greatest strength is still his playmaking, a natural skill that will make him a household name in the league.

RealGM's Rafael Uehara gave his take on the outstanding passing ability of Doncic:

Doncic has remarkable court vision on the move and can anticipate passing lanes a split-second before they become evident. He excels in transition as well but the true foundation of his game is operating in pick-and-roll.

Doncic enjoys an advantageous point of view thanks to his height but has also developed the ability to freeze help defenders with his eyes. I canā€™t believe there are teams that still hedge against him, as heā€™s proven time and timeĀ  again that he can absolutely destroy them seeing over the top, spotting whomever is over in the blink of an eye and firing bullet passes no big man can outrun.

Combine his passing wizardry at his size with his knack to shoot the ball, and you have a cornerstone of the future alongside point guard Dennis Smith Jr.
