Heading into this year's offseason, the Dallas Mavericks are expected to be one of the most aggressive teams in the league primarily through free agency to kick-start the franchise back into the right direction. There is expected to many top-tier talent players available on the open market that could make a tremendous impact.

One of which will be former All-Star center DeAndre Jordan, who has a player option worth just over $24.1 million for the 2018-19 season. In a recent Q&A session, Eddie Sefko of SportsDay reported that there isn't a steady amount of interest in Jordan's services from the Mavericks.

What do you make of this DeAndre Jordan chatter? Would the Mavs seriously be interested?

Sefko: I've been told no. While you never say never in the NBA, this would be akin to having your wife leave you with half of everything you own, only to get flirty with you again so she could come back and get the other half of everything you own.

Dallas is still likely feeling the fact that they were spurned by Jordan last time around with the Clippers staging a last-second pitch that changed his mind to remain in Los Angeles. Although it is an entirely different situation this time around both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin gone, the Mavericks don't look interested in going down that route.

There is also the growing rumors that the franchise could be looking to key in on either Julius Randle or All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins via free agency to add to the fold. This doesn't mean that the Mavericks are not interested, but not as serious as originally thought to be.

Regardless if Dallas is going to make a move to land Jordan in free agency, their front office will be active in bringing in more proven talent to push them back to relevancy in the league.
