Dallas Mavericks center DeAndre Jordan has rubbed teammates the wrong way with what they perceive as selfish play, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Last weekend, DeAndre Jordan essentially stole a rebound from rookie teammate Luka Doncic, which caused quite the stir.

After a New York Knicks player missed a shot, Doncic was in position to secure the defensive board. Jordan then came out of nowhere and used his long arms to tip the ball away from the rookie and grabbed the rebound.

Needless to say, Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle wasn’t pleased by Jordan’s actions, as he told local reporters that the situation was addressed internally.

No one likes a stat padder. Stealing a rebound from a teammate is not a good look. If you watch the clip again, you can see that Doncic and Mavs owner Mark Cuban both had negative body language after DeAndre Jordan stole the rebound. Even though the incident was addressed, it appears some Mavs players haven't gotten over it or have seen other instances of Jordan being selfish.

Jordan signed a one-year, $22.9 million free-agent deal with the Mavs after spending the first 10 years of his NBA career with the LA Clippers. Jordan, of course, agreed to sign with Dallas in 2015, but had a change of heart and went back to the Clippers.

In 13 games with Dallas, Jordan is averaging 11.2 points, 13.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. The high-flyer is shooting 62.4 percent from the field and an impressive 81.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Mavs enter Tuesday with a record of 5-8.
