Kristaps Porzingis didn't play a single game this past season with the Dallas Mavericks, but the 7-footer reportedly already has a good relationship with Mavs budding star Luka Doncic.

According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, Porzingis forged a strong connection with Doncic in his short time in Dallas and enjoyed his interactions with Mavs owner Mark Cuban.

The Mavs envision Porzingis and Doncic as being Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki 2.0. Doncic won the 2019 Rookie of the Year award and showed he's going to be an elite playmaker in the league for years to come, just like Nash was. Porzingis, meanwhile, is a stretch forward who can shoot lights out from deep, just like Dirk.

Before he tore his ACL with the New York Knicks during the 2017-18 season, Porzingis was averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 43.9 percent from the field, 39.5 percent from beyond the arc and 79.3 percent from the free-throw line. It will clearly take KP time to regain his All-Star form, but playing with Doncic will get KP a lot of easy looks.

Doncic put on a show during his rookie season for the Mavs. He averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 71.3 percent from the free-throw line. The Mavs' floor general recorded 24 double-doubles and eight triple-doubles.

All of Dallas can't wait to see Porzingis and Doncic take the floor together next season. It should be a lot of fun to watch.
