Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are coming off another first-round series loss. It is clear that Doncic needs more help in order for the Mavs to reach the next level, and it looks like this might just come in the form of one particular player from the Golden State Warriors.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Mavs have joined the likes of the San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat in the pursuit of incoming free agent Kelly Oubre Jr.:

Dallas, San Antonio, New York and Miami are the rumored suitors for Kelly Oubre Jr. in free agency, sources said.

Needless to say, Oubre is a wanted man. The 25-year-old is set to enter free agency, and there has been no shortage of opposing teams wanting to join in on the Oubre sweepstakes. We've already noted previously that the Spurs, Knicks, and Heat are all interested in signing the 6-foot-7 swingman, and now the Mavs are joining the race.

Oubre averaged 15.4 points with the Warriors last season, and he could add some much-needed firepower for the Mavs. It is worth noting, however, that Dallas is reportedly keen on keeping Tim Hardaway Jr., who himself is also set to become a free agent, so perhaps Oubre could serve as some sort of Plan B in case the THJ deal falls through.

As for the Warriors, it remains to be seen if Oubre is part of their future plans. The former Kansas standout pocketed $14.3 million last year, and Oubre could be looking for a pay hike for the coming season. As it is, even if the Warriors wanted him back, they might not be able to afford him.
