The Dallas Mavericks suffered a heartbreaking 110-106 defeat at the hands of the lowly Sacramento Kings on Sunday. But what made it more disappointing was their defensive lapse in the final seconds of the game.

The Mavs focused their defense on the inbound pass as they were hoping to steal the ball. However, they forgot to put a man on Kings forward Nemanja Bjelica, who was able to run straight to the basket for an easy dunk.

Luka Doncic had an impressive all-around game once again, finishing with 27 points, seven rebounds and eight assists for Dallas. Bjelica led Sacramento with 30 points, seven boards, and four dimes.

Despite the loss, the Mavs remain tied with the Houston Rockets for the third-best record in the West at 16-7. Meanwhile, the Kings improve to 9-13 for the season, good for 10th in the conference.
