Jordan Brand announced Luka Doncic's addition to the team over a tweet on Thursday, showcasing the Dallas Mavericks star walking toward the tunnel after a game.

The Nike subsidiary addressed rumors of a potential signing with the Jumpman brand with a catchy slogan: “It's true: Welcome to the family.”

Doncic was one of the last few standout sneaker free agents after D'Angelo Russell recently inked a deal with Li-Ning's Way of Wade signature line.

Jordan has made a good amount of interesting additions this year, including signing No. 1 overall selection Zion Williamson and transitioning Jayson Tatum from a Nike athlete to donning the iconic Jumpman logo in his kicks.

“It is exciting to join such a talented roster and being given the privilege of defining the next generation of the Jordan Brand,” said Dončić in Nike's official release. “Michael Jordan was a hero of mine growing up, so being able to represent this iconic brand, especially as a kid from Slovenia, is an honor.”

Doncic, who won the Rookie of the Year award last season, is averaging close to a triple-double in 2019-20, helping lead the Mavs into playoff contention. The young star has quickly seen his popularity skyrocket, going from intriguing overseas prospect to an overnight celebrity vying for MVP honors in only his second season in the league.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Luka to the Jordan Brand,” said Jordan Brand President Craig Williams. “He is an undeniable talent, and he's already demonstrated a fearlessness in the clutch that we prize in the Jordan Brand family.”

The Slovenian wonder has tallied more 30-point triple-doubles than any player under 21 years old in history, while also becoming the the first player since Oscar Robertson to average at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists through the first 16 games of a season.
