Dallas Mavericks star power forward Kristaps Porzingis is one of many international NBA players away from both the game and the United States due to the league's suspension in mid-March after the outbreak of COVID-19. While the 24-year-old Latvian native is set to return to the states following the NBA and NBPA's approval of a proposal to bring back 22 teams and resume the 2019-20 season, Porzingis has been spending time in the gym, putting up shots.

Porzingis shared a video on his Instagram Story on Friday of the 7-footer throwing up shots in a gym in his native Latvia (via Davide Chinellato on Twitter).

Kristaps Porzingis, along with his teammate and another European star, Luke Doncic, and the Mavs will return by mid June (the target date for international players to make their way to the U.S.) as the NBA prepares to resume on July 31.

Porzingis, who tore his ACL in Feb. 2018 as a member of the New York Knicks, no doubt appreciated the near-four-month hiatus to rest his knee after his debut season with the Mavs and first time back from injury.
