Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart got inadvertently hit in the nether regions by Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic in their teams’ match-up on Monday.

Adding insult to injury, Smart was the one who got flagged for the foul.

The Slovenian sensation received a dribble hand-off from Maxi Kleber and drove hard to the center of the Celtics defense at the three-minute mark of the first quarter.

Doncic extended his right leg — which made contact with Smart’s groin are — before connecting on a nifty a teardrop.

Marcus Smart crumpled in pain as Luka Doncic immediately went over to check on him. All appears to be good between the two competitors as they brushed off the incident.

Doncic is averaging a near triple-double for the Mavs this season, norming 27.7 points, 10.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists. Smart, meanwhile, continues to be a vital clog for Boston’s defense, averaging 10.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
