Video: Mavs’ Luka Doncic doesn’t know the word ‘goosebumps’ as he reacts to MVP chants

Luka Doncic received MVP chants from the Dallas Mavericks home crowd during their game against the Washington Wizards. After the game, Doncic was asked about the chants and couldn’t find the perfect word to describe how he felt. Peep the post-game interview with the Mavs guard below per Fox Sports Southwest:

In his first game of the 2019-20 season, the 20-year-old dropped 34 points and snagged nine rebounds. He also had three assists and two steals. He was lights out as he shot 12-of-19 from the field, 4-of-9 from deep, and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line. Perhaps the only downside of his game was his six turnovers.

Nevertheless, it was still a good showing from the Mavs star. After a spectacular rookie year, much is expected from the Slovenian phenom. Together with Kristaps Porzingis, Doncic and the team are expected to reach new heights. Will this involve Doncic raising the MVP trophy at the end of the year? Perhaps time can only tell.

But Doncic is very capable of achieving a feat. After all, before his stint in the NBA, he was named MVP in the EuroLeague — considered the second-best basketball league in the world. Can he mirror this feat in the NBA and become the youngest MVP in history?
