Having to defend Dallas Mavericks' point guard Luka Doncic in the half-court with a full allotment of defensive players is a tricky proposition in its own right. Having to defend Doncic on the fast break down a man? Nearly unfair, as the Slovenian sensation proved on this play during the first quarter of Wednesday's contest versus the Golden State Warriors, connecting with Mavs teammate Dorian Finney-Smith on the break.

Doncic put together a masterful first quarter performance against the short-handed Warriors, scoring 22 points in 12 minutes in addition to adding five rebounds and five assists. Dallas led by 28 points at the end of the first.

Prior to the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr decreed that Doncic would ā€œfor sureā€ be an All-Star this season, promptly before the MVP candidate scorched his squad. The aforementioned dish, in addition to the quarter in general, is just another feather in the cap of Doncic during his dazzling first month of the 2019-20 season.
