Dallas Mavs center Kristaps Porzingis has had a knack for beating the buzzer this season. The San Antonio Spurs defense didn't seem to get the memo, as they left him wide open right before the halftime clock sounded, creating a perfect opportunity for Luka Doncic to dish him the ball.

With the Spurs down by two with five ticks remaining in the first half, Derrick White and Trey Lyles opted to double team Mavericks' best player Doncic and prevent him from scoring. But they appeared to have forgotten the other four Mavs on the floor, as they left the Latvian big wide open right outside the arc.

With all the daylight in the world, Kristaps Porzingis casually got his shot off without much resistance and drained it right at the buzzer, giving the Mavs a 52-47 lead at the half. This was just the latest example of the value that Porzingis' shooting impact can provide Dallas.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, of course, is not one to let such careless mistakes go unpunished, and Lyles likely got some tongue lashing from Pop back in the locker room.
