Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has proven himself adept at many facets of the game during his first NBA campaign, and the Mavs rookie showed that once again against the San Antonio Spurs.

During the second quarter of the game, Luka fooled the Spurs defenders with an incredible ball fake. Remarkably, the move paved the way for an easy corner three.

The Spurs are going to become uniquely familiar with Doncic's skill set over the next handful of seasons as the two teams share the Southwest division, but Jakob Poeltl will certainly hope that he sees less of what the rising Mavs star just threw at him.

Luka Doncic was questionable to even play in Tuesday's game due to a left knee strain, but he eventually got clearance to take the court. He struggled from the field overall, but whether that was a byproduct of San Antonio's traditionally stingy defense or his knee still giving him issues is up for debate.

What's undeniable is that the 20-year-old has some nifty moves in his arsenal. Having competed in the NBA Skills Challenge during All-Star weekend, Doncic got to show off some of those skills in game speed Tuesday.

There feels like a bit of injustice was done here with Doncic not getting an actual assist leading to the bucket from Jalen Brunson, having to instead settle for the hockey assist.

Entering play Tuesday, the scintillating Slovenian was averaging 21.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game for the Mavs. He widely considered as the heavy favorite to claim the league's Rookie of the Year award despite strong closing performances from Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Phoenix Suns center  Deandre Ayton.

Luka won't be heading to the playoffs in his first NBA season, but he may be able to add to his trophy case regardless.
