Megan Rapinoe was not happy to hear Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green's latest opinions on women's athletics.

On Wednesday, Green spoke misguidedly about pay discrepancies between men's and women's sports, and he partially blamed women for not backing up their “complaining” with action.

The Warriors star said he was “really tired of seeing [female athletes] complain about the lack of pay,” and said female athletes, particularly WNBA stars, are “doing themselves a disservice by just complaining.”

After pushback from NBC Sports' Kerith Burke, Green criticized a lack of action from women.

Salaries of female athletes are theoretically tied to revenue, but the systemic issues that have underpaid women forever are far more deep-rooted and complex.

“You obviously kind of showed your whole ass in not even understanding what we all talk about all the time,” Rapinoe said, via Andrew Keh of the New York Times. “You don't think we've asked for more funding? What are we screaming about nonstop?”

Rapinoe called Green's comments “not acceptable” and “disappointing,” per Meredith Cash of Business Insider.

Nobody is more outspoken and has taken more action on this issue than Megan Rapinoe, who was also named SI's 2019's Sportsperson of the Year. Rapinoe has continually advocated against and spearheaded legal battles over pay discrepancies in sports. Last month, she testified before Congress on gender pay gaps.
