Mets fans, rejoice! New York has come to terms on a a massive contract with superstar shortstop Francisco Lindor. The sides have had negotiations heat up the past few days, finally settling on the terms – 10 years and $341 million, as reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan.

This level of payday was expected for Lindor, who was traded by the Cleveland Indians to avoid coming to terms on such a monstrous deal. But it's safe to say Mets fans aren't going to complain on the price tag.

After all, Francisco Lindor is worth every penny they'll pay him. The Puerto Rican national plays the game's premiere defensive position at the highest level, winning two Gold Gloves in his first six seasons. But at the same time, he boasts wicked power for someone who'll get the Mets as many outs as he does.

The two-time Silver Slugger award winner has eclipsed 30 home runs in three seasons thus far, boasting impressive batting splits of .285/.346/.488 for his career. He had a down year last season, hitting at just .258 with an OBP of .335 and just eight homers in 60 games. But for a shortstop to be able to call that a down season, you know he's a special talent. More than likely, Lindor will get back to his megawatt self in New York, both with his play and his infectious personality.

Mets fans are going to be seeing Lindor's smile a lot for the next decade. But ask Indians fans who wish he was still in Cleveland and they'll tell you – you'll never grow tired of it.
