The New York Mets have dealt with a myriad of injuries in the rotation as of late. Fortunately, it appears right-hander Marcus Stroman has avoided a serious setback.

Stroman injured his hip during Tuesday's start against the Atlanta Braves. There initially appeared to be a fear the right-hander could be headed for a lengthy stint on the injured list, though that might not be necessary.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported Stroman's hip MRI came back clean.

Stroman also reacted. The Mets star tweeted “Everything's gonna be okay” and also quote-tweeted a bunch of responses noting his ability to bounce back from injuries.

The Stroman news is more than just a relief for the Mets. It's essentially a godsend.

New York's pitching injuries are plentiful. Carlos Carrasco and Noah Syndergaard have yet to pitch this season, with Carrasco unlikely to return until July and “Thor” possibly out until September. Taijuan Walker spent some time on the IL, and Jacob deGrom has had multiple injury scares.

Then there's Joey Lucchesi. The Mets left-hander had been terrific as of late, giving up just three earned runs in his last 22.2 innings of work. His run was becoming increasingly important with David Peterson struggling at the back end of New York's rotation. However, Lucchesi has a torn UCL and will undergo Tommy John surgery, robbing the Mets of rotation depth.

A more serious injury to Stroman might have forced the Mets into scramble mode while also depriving them of their second-best starters. However, ‘Stro is assuring Mets fans he's fine.
