The Los Angeles Lakers seem to have it all. They have the best young core, the best player in the world, and a group of the most talented veterans in the league. One thing they don't have, though, is 3-point shooting. But Michael Beasley, one of the Lakers' new recruit, is not worried one bit.

As a team, the Lakers ranked second to the last in terms of 3-point percentage last season. The addition of LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, Beasley, Lance Stephenson — players who were never known for their 3-point stroke — won't seem to help in improving the Lakers' shooting woes.

But Beasley isn't concerned about it. He is simply confident that he is playing with a group of guys who know how to play the game. In an interview with Leo Sepkowitz of Bleacher Report, Beasley said:

“I think if you look at everybody individually, in the past, in their respective roles, they weren't asked to shoot threes. Like, Lance was playing with Paul George, and Rondo played with Ray Allen. LeBron can't just sit out there and wait for somebody to make a play for him. I'm not saying we can all be 50 percent three-point shooters, but particularly if you look at my percentages, my three-point percentage is not bad at all. It's actually pretty good. I think we're all smart enough to play the game the right way.”

The Lakers raised some eyebrows with their new additions. While a question still lingers over the new roster's capabilities, for now, we just have to hang on to Beasley's words for comfort.
