Michael Carter-Williams balled out during his rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013-14, winning Rookie of the Year honors — but the now-Chicago Bulls point guard was being showered with thanks from fans of the City of Brotherly Love over Twitter for no apparent reason.

Turns out, when Carter-Williams was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in his second season with Philly, the organization received a future first-round pick (2018) via the Los Angeles Lakers — making him part of “The Process” along with another future first-rounder via the Sacramento Kings as a bundle for this year's top overall selection.

The Sixers are only hours away from letting the ink dry in the deal with the Boston Celtics — making MCW one of the many components aiding to the imminent selection of Washington standout Markelle Fultz.

The Bulls point man was resistant at first, but ended up giving in to The Process soon enough.
