The great Michael Jordan had more than a few unforgettable moments throughout his Hall of Fame career, so identifying the greatest shots he ever made proved to be more of a challenge than initially anticipated. Nonetheless, we were able to narrow down the most iconic shots of Jordan's career to five.

The Patrick Ewing Poster

Not only was Michael Jordan arguably the GOAT, but he also happened to be one heck of a dunker. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard won back-to-back Slam Dunk Contest titles in 1987 and 1988, but perhaps his greatest dunk ever came during a game.

This came during the 1991 NBA Playoffs against one of the Chicago Bulls' fiercest rivals in the New York Knicks. For good measure, Jordan took on pretty much the entire Knicks team before throwing down a monster jam on none other than Patrick Ewing.

The Anti-Gravity Layup

Another iconic moment in Michael Jordan's career came against the New Jersey Nets. What makes this one amazing is how MJ seemingly defied gravity by making a mid-air adjustment not once, not twice, but three times. There's nothing much more to say about this shot — it's just one of those things you have to see to appreciate.

The Mid-Air, Hand-Switch Layup

As far as Michael Jordan layups go, there's probably none more memorable than the time he switched hands in mid-flight. The triple clutch layup earlier was very impressive, but this one was just beyond belief.

It's as if Michael Jordan changed his mind in mid-air. It initially looked like he was going for a slam with his right hand, but opted to lay it in with his left hand instead. Oh, and he did this during the 1991 NBA Finals too. The look on Phil Jackson's face says it all.

The Shot

1989 NBA Playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Bulls. Three seconds remaining in the game with the Cavs up one. Bulls have the possession. Michael Jordan. Enough said.

The Last Shot

This was Michael Jordan's final shot of his Bulls career, and it also happened to be the game-winning, series-clinching shot that brought him his sixth NBA championship. The video below shows how MJ even stole the ball from Karl Malone on the previous play, setting himself up for what would turn out to be the greatest shot of his decorated career.
