Michael Jordan's story of dominance on the basketball court has been told time and time again. The Chicago Bulls icon has been discussed constantly and recently starred in a 10-part documentary about his career with the Bulls. Now, another part of his story will be told on the big screen.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will be co-writing and producing a movie for Amazon Studios about Jordan's story with Nike, according to Matt Grobar of Deadline. Affleck will be directing the yet-t0-be-titled movie and play Phil Knight, the Nike co-founder. Damon will play Sonny Vaccaro, a former Nike employee that brought Jordan in and got him to sign with Nike. At the moment, the actor playing Jordan has not been announced.

Vaccaro's story was covered in a 2015 documentary by ESPN. The 30 for 30 titled “Sole Man” interviewed Vacarro, as well as other NBA stars and reporters, and told the story of his career with Nike and how signing Jordan to a shoe deal changed sports business forever and launched Nike into becoming the superpower it is today.

Jordan has gotten into plenty of businesses since retiring from the NBA, including a team owner for the Charlotte Hornets. His shoe deal with Nike, though, launched him into unprecedented territory for sports stars. The line of shoes that started at the beginning of his NBA career is still going strong.

Air Jordan shoes helped make Michael Jordan a legend along with his dominance on the court. Affleck and Damon will be teaming up to tell the business side of Jordan's legacy.
