Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone is considering making lineup changes ahead of Saturday's crucial Game 4 against the San Antonio Spurs.

Hours after the Nuggets dropped Game 3 to the Spurs, Malone told The Denver Post's Mike Singer that he will consider all options in terms of making changes in Game 4 to give his team a better chance of tying the series at two games apiece.

“We’ll continue to look at it,” he said. “All options are on the board. Obviously it’s never about any individual, it’s gotta be about what’s best for our team.”

Malone said he will meet with his staff on Friday to discuss the adjustments they will need to make in Game 4, and one of the topics they will tackle is the possibility of tweaking their starting five.

If we have to make a lineup change, we’ll do so. If we stay with the same lineup, if we feel that will give us our best chance, we’ll stay. But no decision has been made yet.”

Starting wing Will Barton, undersized at small forward, is the likeliest option to be replaced. He has struggled and looked out of sync all series, especially on the offensive end. Barton has shot an abysmal 9-of-31 through the first three games.

If Barton ends up coming off the bench in Game 4, Malik Beasley is probably the one that's going to be inserted in the starting lineup. Beasley is averaging close to 13 points per game and shooting 66 percent from beyond the arc against the Spurs so far.
