Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympian of all-time, claims the presence of NBA players in the stands adds inspiration and motivation to Team USA swimmers during competitions.

It is no secret that all Olympians are ultra-competitive and Phelps believes the presence of NBA players in the stands triggers USA swimmers to use that extra motivation when competing.

In this video interview, Phelps says USA swimmers cannot stand to lose in front of NBA players.

USA Basketball was often seen in the stands to support USA swimmers, particularly Michael Phelps, compete. Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green even went to personally congratulate Phelps and other swimmers and posed in pictures with them.

Now that the USA Basketball has entered their finals stage against Serbia, the USA swimmers could return the favor and cheer on NBA players. Who knows, their presence could also inspire and help USA basketball clinch gold.
