Through his first two career starts, Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson has caught much attention for his heavy reliance running the ball.

Among those that have chimed in on the situation was former star quarterback Michael Vick, who voiced that Jackson should be more cautious with when he chooses to run, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

In his first two starts, the 21-year-old has been a huge factor in the ground game as he has rushed f0r 190 yards on 37 carries, which is the most through a quarterback's first two starts in league history during the Super Bowl Era. This includes Jackson rushing for 117 yards on 26 attempts against the Cincinnati Bengals, which were the most carries by a quarterback in a single game.

Vick is certainly speaking from experience as he is the all-time leader for quarterbacks with 6,109 rushing yards on 873 attempts, which includes posting a 1,000 rushing yard campaign back in 2006. There were likely plenty of physical hurdles for him to pass given that he ran the ball so frequently due to his athleticism and speed. What should also be noted is that Vick only had double-digit rush attempts 25 times over 143 career games.

Given the type of similarities in skill set as dual-threat quarterbacks, these words of advice from Vick certainly hold much weight as to the kind of path that Jackson should preferably take not to cut his career shorter than he would hope. Ultimately, it's on his shoulders to be more decisive with when he should run.
