The Michigan Wolverines are making a mark on the recruiting trail. 4-star talent out of the 2018 recruiting class, Ignas Brazdeikis, has committed to the program.

A forward, he made his announcement on the mean streets of Twitter. In his post, he thanked god and family, as well as people who directly supported his development as a basketball player.

Here is the aforementioned Twitter post:

The 6-foot-8 Canadian was one of the premier scorers in the Nike EYBL this past spring and summer. He played with CIA Bounce. Ignas Brazdeikis averaged 21.1 points per game on 49 percent shooting from the floor during the circuit. Not just some bucket-making marvel, Brazdeikis put up 7.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while also showing a decent jumper, shooting 26 percent from beyond the arc.

John Beilein, one of the most underrated coaches in the country, is known to do well developing forwards. Such recent examples are the rapid improvement of players like D.J. Wilson and Moritz Wagner. Basically, there's real hope that Beilein can take a 4-star, then turn him into something even more than that.

Beilein’s offense is favorable for skilled forwards with a penchant for scoring and Brazdeikis could end up being a tremendous fit for the Wolverines. Obviously, only time will actually tell what this commitment means for Michigan. At this point in time, everything written about the fit would be conjuncture.

Brazdeikis becomes the fourth member of Michigan’s Class of 2018 recruiting haul, as he joins 4-star forward Brandon Johns, 4-star guard David Dejulius and 3-star forward Taylor Currie.
