Miesha Tate has been on quite the comeback trail since her return to the UFC. The former champion has big plans and big goals for her return.

She recently expressed interest in a trilogy with Ronda Rousey after getting back to the UFC title. It's fair to say Miesha Tate has some big plans.

She recently sat down to talk with the media ahead of her big return at UFC Vegas 43. Miesha Tate knows exactly what she needs to do in order to get a title shot.

“I really want to get a finish,” Tate told MMAJunkie at Wednesday’s media day at the UFC Apex. “I know every fight, people will say they want to finish, and that’s true. You want to finish every fight. But I feel like it’s really imperative this fight, because that’s what will put me in title talks, right?

“It’s not that I won’t be happy if I got a decision win. Of course, a win is a win. But I really want that finish – like, really want that because I want to be talked about being in as the No. 1 contender.”

Things started off well when Tate finished Marion Reneau in the third round of her UFC return. The finish came by TKO due to ground and pound.

It was an excellent performance and exactly what Miesha Tate needed to announce her arrival back in the UFC. Now she wants to keep things going by finishing Ketlen Viera and putting herself in a good position to challenge Amanda Nunes.
