Mike Tyson had himself an eventful Wednesday. The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world was in Jacksonville, Florida throughout the day. He started the day spending some time with new Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer and ended it inside an All Elite Wrestling ring, unleashing holy hell on Shawn Spears, per TMZ.

Tyson played the role of hero in the ring, coming to the aid of Chris Jericho and his allies in the Inner Circle stable after they were getting beat up by rival group The Pinnacle.

Just when it seemed like Jericho and his group were getting pounded into oblivion, Mike Tyson stormed to the ring and laid waste all over Spears with body shots galore before taking him down for a ground-and-pound session:

Eventually, Spears and the rest of The Pinnacle managed to flee from the ring, leaving Tyson and Jericho to celebrate and bask in their newly formed alliance.

The 54-year-old boxer is no stranger to the squared circle. He has appeared numerous times at WWE events, most notably serving as “special guest enforcer” in the main event of WrestleMania XIV between Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin back in 1998.

Mike Tyson is also enshrined in the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame, and, in 2010, he returned as a member of D-Generation X, knocking out Jericho, the same guy he's now BFFs with in AEW.
